Include in your message

The request ID. Every response carries an X-Request-ID header. It lets us find the exact request.
Your key’s prefix, such as chr_live_9tK2vQx7. Never send the full key.
What you sent: the method, the path and query, and the body or subscribe frame.
What you got back: the status, the error code and message, or the stream close code.
When it happened, with the time zone.

Before you write

Symptom	Check
`401 UNAUTHORIZED`	Authentication: the header form, and whether the key expired or was revoked
`429 RATE_LIMITED`	Rate limits: a retry loop without backoff, or leaked stream connections
`400 VALIDATION_ERROR`	The `details` list names the field and the problem
Stream closes with `4008`	Your client is reading too slowly. See Connecting to streams.
A number looks wrong	Reading responses: money legs, percentages on 0–100, and decimal strings
